Elsa [Frozen Version]

LET IT GO VERSION: Elsa [Let It Go Version] AND THE MESSBOARD: Elsa Messboard

  To say that I am glad to be done with this project would be an understatement. A severe one. I can honestly say that I have never worked so hard [or so long] on any one project before. A solid month of painstaking determination is what created what you see here. Especially since I've said it before, and I'll say it again: intricate details are not my forte. I hate drawing hands. And I suck at angles.

    Anyway, enough with the complaining. About the picture: It's Elsa! From Frozen! If you don't already know that... where have you been? I can't read a store paper without seeing Anna or Elsa. So, yeah, funnily enough, this picture didn't even actually start out as Elsa. It started out as Kasumi from the Dead Or Alive series, then, when I hit a wall there, it became Rynn from the Drakan series, and when I hit that wall, it became Elsa! Though, at the time [a little over a month ago], I'd never seen Frozen before, so I had no grasp on the details of Elsa's appearance. I rented the movie, but still, for an artist, that's a weak reference. And as I have no internet connection at home, I had no way to get some references. So, for about a week, I was flying relatively blind. And then I managed to get to the library and absorb every little detail I could find. I also bought the movie. 

    The background [and the entire picture, really] is a sort of tip-of-the-hat to the movie poster featuring Elsa [see here: www.designbolts.com/wp-content…. Although, I have to admit, during my search for references, I had to be VERY careful. I had heard that the TV Show 'Once Upon A Time' had brought Elsa to life, and you better believe me, I did EVERYTHING I could to avoid any pictures of their version of Elsa, lest it influence my vision of her. Now, though, I can feel free to see what they did with her, because I AM DONE!

    However, I am also very sleep deprived, so if there are any spelling errors or anything, please forgive me, I've had less than 10 hours sleep in the past two days. I had to bust a** to get Elsa done in time for today, and so I have spent a LOT OF TIME working on her. Anyway... Oh, and by the way, I had to draw that stupid ELSA lettering out by hand, as I didn't think to look for a Frozen Font the last time I had access to the internet. Jeez... I am so TIRED...

    I'm done! Hope you like it!
