Okay, I know it's BEYOND crappy, but the picture was so low resolution, it's not even funny :/ And it IS just a sketch, so..
Okay, first of all, I have to say, only read the first paragraph if you are NOT interested in HP7 pt 2 spoilers. Because I will be talking about it. Anyway, this took me about 3 hours, done on GIMP. Right after I’d just got done watching the movie, and although I wished they would have changed/left some parts alone, it was very good in overall quality J This is the scene right before the nineteen years later scene.
DON’T READ BELOW IF YOU DON’T LIKE SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Personally, I thought it was a bit odd how they just sort of glossed over the time spent at Shell Cottage. You didn’t even SEE Bill and Fleur! Then, in Gringotts, I think they stayed pretty true to the book. It’s sad about how scared that dragon is of the clankers, but at least it escapes
Kind of pissed me off how they didn’t tell Dumbledore’s story. Ariana and Aberforth were barely mentioned, and Dumbledore’s fancy for the black arts wasn’t mentioned at all!!
LOVED Snape and McGonagall’s duel, totally epic. McGonagall had a few choice lines in this movie, and she was funny as well Like when she said the dungeons would be fitting for the Slytherins. Eat that, Slytherins! Go slither in to the dungeons XP And Luna, who is my favorite girl character had a funny line as well, where she yells at Harry “HARRY POTTER, YOU LISTEN TO ME!!”. Funny >.<
Anywho, Ron and Hermione’s kiss in the Chamber of Secrets deserves a gold star as well. Completely epic, loved the wide shot, so you could see them from faraway Weird to hear Ron speak Parseltongue, though… LOVED Ron screaming “GOYLE SET THE BLOODY PLACE ON FIRE!!!!!!!”. Probably the funniest part in the whole movie.
The twin’s death scene (can never remember which one died…) so totally sad… Watching the other twin and Ron break down was a real tearjerker moment. And Tonks and Lupin… But at least we knew that was going to happen, so we had time to process it.
Now, Snape’s death scene in the Crystal House can be summoned up in one word: Sick. Not the sick that is the slang of awesome, the sick that is defined as DISGUSTING. Okay, I already hate snakes (I did a little jig inside when that thing was BEHEADED) and letting you hear Snape hit the glass over and over as Nagini repeatedly strikes made me sick to my fucking stomach. Gross. Anyway, Snape telling Harry that he had his mother’s eyes was sweet. For once, he wasn’t looking at Harry like he’d like to do nothing more than use Crucio on him. It was a tender, double thumbs up for both Daniel and Alan, very good scene. Harry actually looked like it pained him to see Snape like that, which is a grand feat considering how much he hated him. Snape’s memories were cool. Very well shot, a little snippy and a little hard to follow, but more good acting on Alan’s part. Not quite the thrill ride I wanted, but… still good, all the same It was hard for me to like Dumbledore’s scenes, considering I never quite got over Richard Harris dying. I never warmed to the recast, even though I know it had to happen. A dead man cannot play a part, I’m just saying, he played it better
Oh, there was another story that I felt they cut short, what was it? Oh yeah! Right after the Gringotts escape, in the book, Voldemort remembers the night in full detail where he went to Godric’s Hollow and attempted to murder Harry. This did not happen in the movie. Big disappointment there, but not as disappointing as Dumbledore’s story…
Anyway, the Battle of Hogwarts was probably the most epic thing I’ve ever seen. I would like to say here great acting, and especially great special effects and wirework. So amazing, I could never describe it right, even if I knew every synonym to epic, which I know I am using a lot. But you know what, Harry Potter was and IS epic. Twilight may not turn my guts as it does some other people’s, I kind of like it, but IN NO WAY can it hold a candle to the epic-ness of Harry Potter. HP is forever, guys Anyway… yeah, the Battle of Hogwarts was awesome.
Really tear jerking scene when Harry tells Hermione and Ron where he’s going right before he goes into the forest to face his fate. I love how she says “I‘ll go with you” and her voice breaks while she says it. And while Ron may not hug him like Hermione, a look passes between him and Harry that practically screams Everlasting Friendship Here.
When Voldemort says Avada Kedavra, it sounds like someone should offer him a cough drop. Seriously. I don’t like who they cast as Voldemort. I picture Voldemort scarier looking, with a long, pallid, evil face. This guy’s just looks like It’s had a lot of makeup piled on. And Voldemort’s voice is described to be high and cold-- his voice is low and raspy. I don’t care for it. Anyway, it was kind of cool when Harry Potter went to King’s Cross, but as that’s the scene my sister and I talked pretty much all the way through (we like to chat) details aren’t my forte.
I LOOOOOOVED the way they changed the scene where Harry reveals he’s alive. I love Neville’s speech about how Harry’s alive in their hearts. And then Harry flips himself out of Hagrid’s arms and the look on Voldemort’s face is so freaking priceless… it’s like, “WHAT THE HELL DOES IT TAKE TO KILL THIS BASTARD!?!?!?” Anyway, I love how Nagini gets beheaded. Nice change there. Liked Harry and Voldemort flying around with each other. Really sets the tone for how, at the end of it all, the series is about Harry and Voldemort. There may be a lot of important people surrounding them, but they are at the core. AWESOME scene where Molly kills Bellatrix. Liked how they exploded her evil ass. God knows she deserved it. Bitch.
As for the scene where Harry kills Voldemort, I wish they would have left it as it was in the book. Before all others, where the magic began for both of them, in the Entrance (or was it the Great) Hall, circling each other like vultures, Harry and Voldemort shooting words back at each other before the sun rises and Voldemort is hit by his own rebounding curse. I love how Jo wrote it so Harry never let off his own killing curse, no matter how far he was pushed, or how much he hated the person before him. It’s just a testament to how good a person Harry is. He’d never sink to that level. Harry didn’t have his heart-to-heart with Dumbledore’s portrait, and he didn’t use the Elder Wand to fix his own wand, so those were both big disappointments. But I do like how the final scene of the present-day happenings is of Harry snapping the Elder Wand and throwing both pieces off the broken bridge. And then He, Ron, and Hermione all hold hands, right before nineteen years later comes. That is what this picture is of.
Very epic ending. Probably pretty much the only thing from the book they left pretty much untouched. You know, I've heard a lot of talk about how the digital people made everyone look too old, but if you ask me, they look WAY TOO YOUNG for being 36 years old. They look 26 at the most to me, but LOOOOOOVEEEE THE MOVIE, will so buy it when it hits stores. Yay ^^ Anyway, that’s what I thought of the movie
i... didnt read your whole thingcuz im kind of tired, but i agree, i was sad they didnt talk about dumbledores past, also that he didnt try to apologize to harry. otherwise i thought it was pretty solid, id say more so than the first part.
